New Website Launched for Greater Europe Mission

Nate Schaub

Greater Europe Mission in Colorado Springs, Colorado is an incredible organization that focuses on impacting lives in Europe through church planting, leadership training, and humanitarian work.

With a rich history spanning more than five decades, but a desire to rethink how to best reach their core audience, the GEM team came to us for help with a full-scale online re-branding effort. Since young people are a key pillar in making GEM successful, they needed to make a dramatic change in their overall approach, and we accomplished this by revamping theĀ  design, integrating social media, and creating a vehicle to spark a dynamic, real-timeĀ  conversation through continual blog-style updates.

We started by piggy-backing on a fantastic new logo concept developed by their team to design and develop a brand new website, www.gemission.org, creating a look and feel that represents the heart of what they do. From there, we built a few key functional components that we’re pretty proud of:

  • A full Drupal-based content management system that gives the GEM team full control over the administration of the website
  • An interactive, fully searchable database of opportunities for volunteers around the world to get involved, all based upon where they want to serve and their unique skill set
  • Two blog-style sections where staff can post prayer updates and stories from the field, allowing them to have an ongoing, real-time conversation with their volunteers and supporters all over the globe
